Has anyone had an unpleasant experience with Booking and found a solution? I'd appreciate advice about this situation. I booked on 27.12. On 31.12, medical reasons meant I couldn't travel, so I told the host I wanted to change the dates and release the booking for rental. At first, he seemed willing to move the reservation, but then he delayed things until 4.01 and told Booking I hadn't checked in. I received no refund from him. After I disputed it with Booking, the only refund I got was 13.96 lei. Booking says it can't penalize this kind of behavior, so customers can only leave feedback about the service. I'm waiting for an official response before filing a complaint with the Anpc. I remember there was another Hungarian service for mediating commercial disputes. Does anyone know its name, so I can try to get my money back? I've never been treated like this before. If nothing works, I'll go defecate in front of the booked property the next time I get the chance. The six-person room on the third floor is far too cramped, even though the rooms are in a good location. It has just one small wardrobe and a little fridge that you can open only when the door is shut. The mezzanine is so low you can't stand upright, and the shower leaks water across the floor. There's a dryer, but no washing machine. I would recommend the other rooms for four or five people instead, as they're spacious and understated.

The staff were warm and helpful, and the apartment was clean and in a fantastic location. It's simple but decent, with everything needed to cook your own meals. Highly recommended.
