Danubius Hotel Helia

The wellness area is a major draw: several indoor and thermal pools, a jacuzzi, saunas, steam rooms, and a fully equipped fitness center. The pools were well maintained, the water comfortably warm, and it was a relaxing place to unwind after sightseeing. Breakfast had lots of variety, and there are also a restaurant, bar, room service, and good WiFi. Danubius Hotel Helia sits right on the Danube in Budapest's 13th district. It's peaceful compared with the busy center, with pleasant riverside walks and nearby public transport for reaching major sights in minutes. There's a large guest parking area, handy if you're driving. Rooms were clean, modern, and functional, with comfortable beds and often a pleasant river view. Service was friendly and professional. A comfortable stay with good value, especially if you like a quieter setting outside the busiest tourist areas.

This is our second stay, and it's still the only place my partner and I choose when we're in Budapest. The location is perfect, the pool and spa are great, and breakfast has a good range. I'd especially recommend a hydrating massage from Szinti. She's a gem, so bubbly and sweet. We always sleep well here. Thank you! 😊

We had a great view of the Danube, which we specifically chose when booking. Breakfast was tasty, and there are several pools, including one with thermal water, plus several saunas and a very good gym. It's a large, decent hotel, and I'd rate the stay positively. Our room was quite dirty at first, so we had to ask for extra cleaning. A locked door connected it to the neighboring room, and the first night was noisy because we could hear the people next door. On the following days the room was either empty or the guests were quiet, so it worked out. The hotel is fairly far from the city center and you need to take a bus.

With our own vehicle, the hotel's parking lot was useful and cost 12 euros a day, a fairly reasonable rate. We found it easy to walk to most city sights from this spot by the beautiful Danube. The hotel offers good value for the price. The rooms were clean and roomy enough for two. Staff cleaned every day, changed towels, and left a bottle of water. Breakfast was good, with something for even the pickiest eater. There are three indoor pools of decent size with warmer water, plus a slightly larger one for swimming at around 28 degrees.
