The location was fine, but I wouldn't stay again because the hygiene was so poor and the bed was uncomfortable. We booked Fanni Guesthouse and ended up at Elvis Guesthouse. They’re in the same building, and reception told us it was the same guesthouse, just on a different level and with a different name. The room was old and smelled. There were spiders and cobwebs everywhere, dust on the lamps and furniture, and stains on the bed linen that looked like mold. The bed was very low and uncomfortable, and the towels were worn out. The listing said bottled water and toiletries would be provided, but they weren't. There was a kitchen, but dead bugs were in the freezer. Everything was so dirty that we didn't dare use any of the dishes.

Once I'd collected the key from the main office down the road, I found my way through a leafy courtyard to the room, which had a stylish entrance. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, and the price was very good. The shared kitchen could have been cleaner, but it was useful to have.

The bathroom was really clean, and the cleaner did a great job. We barely used the TV since everything was in Hungarian, but the Wi-Fi was super fast. The lamps by the bed were nice and bright, and we made good use of the fan. The two of us got lucky with the biggest room in our section. The double bed had a small stain and the pillows were a little damp, so we wrapped them in a blanket. Pretty good overall if you're mostly there to sleep.

The room was a little noisy, but it didn't bother me, and the location was nice. Marton in particular made the Budapest trip as good as it could've been. He gave us helpful tips about places to eat and visit, and quickly sorted out the small issue we had in the room. Fantastic stay. I'd definitely recommend it and stay again when I come back.

The location was nice and we slept well, but the room was dusty and the water glasses were greasy. It could definitely have been cleaner. For the level of service, it should cost less. We paid 35 EUR per night.
