Green Dream Apartment

Greg was kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. My family, two adults and two kids, spent three nights at Green Dream Family Apartment. It was spacious, quiet, clean, and comfortable, with everything we needed in the kitchen, bathroom, and appliances. The location and the surrounding area were great too.

Greg was especially helpful and quick to reply whenever we had a question. The apartment is clean and has everything you might need, and most of Budapest's main sights are within walking distance. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

The apartment is in a handy spot for everyday needs, with grocery stores, banks, bakeries, and coffee shops nearby. Trams and buses are easy to catch, and Budapest Jazz Club is a block north. I’d walk down to Oktogon to get day passes. Though it’s close to a major road and bridge over the Danube, the place was surprisingly quiet and dark. Being on the bottom of a building that may have eight floors made coming and going easy after long days out. We stayed for a week. The apartment seems newly renovated and is nicely furnished, with most kitchen appliances and some basic seasonings. There’s an espresso maker and a starter supply of instant coffee. The drip coffee maker seems to be missing, as only its carafe was left, but after a couple of tries we got the espresso machine working fine. The beds and duvet were very comfortable. The bathroom has new tile and a full glass shower wall, though there isn’t much shelf space. It’s downstairs from the bedrooms, which might be awkward if you need to get up during the night. On arrival, Sara, I think, was waiting for us. She was friendly and gave us a quick rundown of how things worked, plus a small map of nearby points of interest. The apartment was spotless, and there were slippers in several sizes. There’s a usable computer, which was a nice extra. The keyboard layout took some getting used to, with the z and y switched and some punctuation hard to find. I eventually stumbled on the @ key using Shift and 2, where the keyboard showed a quotation mark. Still, it worked better than my phone. The heater on the main floor was effective and easy to adjust.

The service was great, and the apartment is beside a bakery with a supermarket just around the corner. The bathroom and kitchen are a little small, though that didn’t bother us. The neighborhood is busy and pleasant, but the courtyard layout kept the apartment completely quiet. It’s a beautiful place.
