Hostel One Basilica Budapest

The communal dinners and games make it easy to meet other travelers, and the staff are welcoming and ready to help with everything from getting settled to finding your way around or arranging luggage storage and an on-time airport trip. The beds, floors, and bathrooms were clean. A world-class hostel, absolutely worth a stay.

We appreciated being able to leave our bikes in the luggage room, and the staff and volunteers were friendly and full of useful city tips. The rooms were clean, and the kitchen was well equipped. The free evening meal was nice, and a good way to meet people. Great value, I'd recommend it.

There are free activities every night, and I met some really great people here. It has the lively feel of a party hostel while still being quiet, which was a great balance. The location is good, with a view of the park next door, and free luggage storage too. The free dinner was just okay. Bathrooms are outside the rooms, so they can all be occupied when it's busy. Still, I'd highly recommend staying here.

The kitchen and common room are nice, and there's an elevator since the hostel is on the second floor. It was fairly clean and had plenty of bathrooms and showers. The staff were especially kind and helpful, and I'd stay again. The loudest drawback was the room doors slamming shut. As a smoker, I also wished there were a balcony, since smoking meant going all the way downstairs.
