I can’t recommend this hostel. We booked a room for three days, and the agent said to contact him when we landed so he could meet us there with the keys. After our flight, I called, but he didn’t answer. When I texted, he said the hostel was closed and he couldn’t come to hand over the keys. He claimed he had told us, but there was no text or email warning us. That was completely unprofessional.
They cancelled my reservation on the day we arrived, saying I hadn’t replied to an email. What was I supposed to reply to? I’d booked through Hostelworld and everything seemed fine, so I was really surprised. The staff were unprofessional. My advice is to avoid booking this hostel if you don’t want an unpleasant surprise.
We had a reservation problem when our room was changed during the stay, though the issue was resolved. The hostel is very convenient for the main sights. Our room faced the tram, which was extremely loud and ran late at night and early in the morning, so sleeping well was hard. I’d recommend it for a short visit, around 3-4 days at most.
There’s no reception, and the owner can be moody. The rooms are in an apartment block. The rooms we stayed in were well maintained and decently furnished, but traffic noise was a problem on the boulevard side.
A good fit for a big group, with four spacious rooms and a small kitchen and living area furnished with sofas.
