The ants were the worst part. They were all over my room, even in the bed, and I later found some in my hair. I was horrified and couldn’t sleep properly. There’s no soundproofing either: every conversation, door, and bit of bathroom noise from the neighboring rooms carries through. The doors slam so loudly the whole place shakes. I’m not picky about accommodation, and I could put up with the modest, old setup and the dust on the bed, chairs, and windowsill, but the ants were too much.

For what I paid, this was a clean, comfortable place to stay overnight, in a fairly quiet location. It’s an easy walk to the airport bus, and there are plenty of nearby places to eat, drink, or shop for what you need. Parking is available too. Facilities are limited, and you don’t see many staff, but the ones I met were pleasant and helpful.

Clean rooms and really helpful service. Self check-in may be possible if you speak with the owner. It’s a good budget option, about a 10-minute walk from the nearest Metro station, railway station, bus terminal, and mall. It’s also one of the closest places to the airport: walk 10 minutes to Kobanya Kispest, then take the 200E bus.

The showers and toilets were very clean, and towels came with our room. For the price, the room was fine too, with enough power outlets and even a bible. The TV didn’t work, but that didn’t matter. The beds were clean and didn’t creak or break, though they were a bit hard and uncomfortable, which made sleeping more difficult than usual. Probably just cheap, but in decent shape. The 5 GHz WiFi was a surprise. The QR code entry system took a few tries on the reader, but it still made getting in at any hour easy. It’s a nice hostel for the price, and I’d recommend it if you want a cheap, no-frills stay in your own room with someone.
