Jimi Hendrix Guesthouse

The location is a big plus: Jimi is on a pedestrian square, near the metro, restaurants and a 24 hour store, so there’s no busy road right outside. I was surprised by how good the place was for the price. There are only four rooms, which keeps it from feeling crowded, and my room and private bathroom were both clean and comfortable. The bathroom had nice tiling, too. There’s a shared kitchen where they serve “breakfast,” though that was really just toast and coffee. You can also use the kitchen to make whatever you like. Wi-Fi was free and good enough for Skype. When I visited there was a shared computer available, and the room TV had only a few channels, including BBC. Jimi has since added a full apartment upstairs. It’s much larger and feels more like a home, with its own kitchen, but the decor is older and more traditionally Hungarian than the rooms below. The Wi-Fi there was blazing fast, though there wasn’t a computer, so bring your own. I’d definitely recommend Jimi.
