Leda Apartments

I want to thank Roland, Fru, Mark, and David for being so kind and helpful. We had a couple of problems: neither the air conditioner nor the Wi-Fi worked. Each of these young staff members did their best to help us. The apartment was in a perfect location for us, and room 505 was so quiet. We ate on the balcony at night and couldn't hear a thing from the street. The building is older, and some furniture isn't in the best shape, but the spacious room, location, and quiet suited us perfectly.

Being right by Kiraly St made it easy to get to bars, restaurants, and plenty of other spots nearby. We were also surprised by how much space there was, since the website photo made the apartment look small. It had two double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a big living and dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen. The furnishings were first class, too. The staff were friendly and really helpful, and it was good value. A great place to stay.

The staff were thoughtful and faultless, but the apartment itself needs some work. The tub faucet and shower head were badly worn, and little bugs showed up during the night.

The central location came with constant noise from the bars outside, and we barely slept. We left a day early, but no compensation was offered. The staff's response felt very unprofessional. We gave plenty of notice when asking to check out early, and were basically told it wasn't an option, so we held on to the keys until the last minute before leaving the poor apartment. We had to spend our first night in a place that felt unfit and unsafe: electrical sockets hanging off the wall, wires on the floor, broken, worn-out furniture, and a very basic bathroom and kitchen with poor cutlery. The bed linen was poor quality, and the rooms didn't look or feel clean. The second apartment was reasonable, though some sockets were also coming away from the wall. The marketing photos are completely misleading, showing a much higher standard than the rooms we got. In response to the claims about soundproofing, I suggest trying to stay in the apartment and hear the noise for yourself. The bars downstairs were far from quiet after midnight, as other guests told us too, including people in garden-view units. The owners may want to look again at the soundproofing. As for the loose sockets and wires, they must have been in the two apartments we stayed in. We don't lie. I'm writing to make an official complaint about the quality of the service and the property at our Leda apartment booking. Please advise us how to claim compensation. There's a level of professional ethics expected when providing a public service, and the owners and staff at Leda may want to revisit that.
