I won’t stay here again. One staff member got angry with me for a reason I couldn’t understand, and treated me badly. There were plenty of staff, but some were terrible. His behavior made Budapest feel like the worst part of my trip. I was in Vienna too, and it was a very nice place. The quality of the staff seemed so different.

We had a room looking onto the inner courtyard, in a beautiful old building and a fantastic location. My friend and I found it spotlessly clean, with crisp white sheets, loads of space, and welcome air conditioning. The staff were always pleasant and friendly, and I thought it was a great bargain. Breakfast was fine, with what seemed like a decent selection and enough for vegetarians and vegans. I’m vegetarian, so I can’t really speak to half the food. As someone with prediabetes, I’d have liked bottled water in the vending machine. I don’t mind paying for it. I’d definitely stay again.

We were very happy with our five-night stay. The location in the city made getting around and doing activities easy, and the reception was open around the clock, which felt comfortable and secure. We also found the welcome pleasant, the atmosphere warm, the room exceptionally clean, and breakfast offered several choices. We highly recommend it ❤️❤️

The view from our room was the one good part, and we had paid extra for it. I’d asked for a double bed, but we got two singles instead. When I asked reception to cover the gap at least, since we’re a couple, they said it couldn’t be done. The only room they offered as an alternative had no view, and they said the extra payment for the view couldn’t be refunded. On our second night, at about 11:30 PM, the door jammed as we tried to get into the room. We waited outside for over 30 minutes, exhausted after a long day, and the receptionist said maintenance would take more than an hour to arrive. In the end, they gave us another room for the night. I didn’t want that arrangement, but had no choice, especially since my medication and all our belongings were locked in the original room. It was one of the worst holiday experiences I’ve had, and it happened on my birthday, completely ruining the end of the day.
