Maverick Athenaeum Hotel

The friendly, welcoming atmosphere made the trip even nicer, and everything was clean, comfortable, and well organized. I had a wonderful stay and was especially grateful to Yasaman at reception. She was kind, helpful, and sweet from the moment I arrived, and really went out of her way to support me. I’d recommend the hostel and would be happy to stay again.

I stayed in a clean 10-bed dorm with friendly guests, and there was a nice communal lounge downstairs for relaxing or chatting. Staff were kind, the breakfast was good and convenient, and they put on fun events, including nights with lots of free beer. I had a great stay at the Maverick Athenaeum and would highly recommend it.

For my weekend in Budapest, I stayed two nights and had a great experience. The staff were welcoming and explained clearly how to access everything. Towels and locks were provided when I arrived, and the security made me feel very safe. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, and the beds were super comfortable. A 10/10 stay, highly recommend!

I had such a good experience here, especially for the price. It’s a hostel, but you hardly notice: the interior is fantastic, the staff are professional, polite, and flexible, and the service is top notch. There’s a shower, laundry, extra luggage storage, and free towels that can even be exchanged. They also gave us a free Yumm Apple, and the bar offers a discount for guests. There’s a free pool table, wine tastings, yoga, and all kinds of activities. It’s easy to find a private spot to work, the coffee is amazing, and breakfast is all-you-can-eat with fresh fruit and squash. I think it may even be underpriced. If you want to stay in the heart of Budapest, check availability. It’s well worth it.
