The lack of customer care was striking. Over my entire 4-day stay, nobody cleaned my room or changed the towels, despite the hotel's stated daily or every-two-days schedule. I asked reception for fresh towels and was told they'd be sent up, but they never came. When I asked for a basic dental kit, staff told me to buy one at the supermarket. Service felt negligent and unprofessional, and reception was unattended several times even during its stated opening hours. I also felt misled by the hotel's website photos, which don't match what the place is really like. At checkout I raised all these issues and got no apology or solution. I sent follow-up emails after leaving and never got a reply. My 4-day stay at Hotel Metro in Budapest was extremely disappointing. I wouldn't return or recommend it.

The beds were very comfortable, the rooms spacious, and the location great. The staff are friendly, though they're often away from the desk and you have to call them. It is worth the price, but be wary: the hotel isn't the cleanest or most updated.

I've stayed here many times and have always had a pleasant experience. It's a perfect base for exploring the city, just a 2-minute walk from the train station. The Hotel Metro has very affordable rates, spacious clean rooms with air conditioning, and clean, comfortable beds.

I was very happy with this place and would definitely come back. The room was big and clean, and the hotel is near Nugyaty station, only 200 meters away.

One thing I forgot to mention: we accidentally got the table glued, and it hasn't come off. I hope it doesn't cause a problem for either the guests or the hotel.
