Novotel Budapest City

We were on the ninth floor, with good views and a very quiet, spacious room. The staff were always kind and helpful. I also enjoyed the pool, sauna, and gym, and breakfast had a superb variety. The tea station and beetroot juicer were my favorites. I spoke with the manager twice, I think. He’s from France, a lovely gentleman who went out of his way to make sure our stay worked well for us. I’ll be back in September 🙏 Thank you so much.

This is a very large hotel, with big tourist groups arriving and leaving every day. It sits beside a junction of main roads, but the surroundings are still green. Trams and buses connect it well, and the main sights are easy to reach. The building dates to the early 80s, so it isn't new, but everything works flawlessly and the rooms are well maintained. The pool and gym area are clean and nice. Breakfast is up to Novotel's usual standard, among the best in its category. There's limited space and a limited menu in the restaurant and bar, though what they serve is good quality. With dozens of good restaurants in the city, that's not a major drawback. You get the classic Novotel quality you'd expect, and to me this is a benchmark for a four-star family hotel. It usually offers the best price-to-quality ratio in the area.

Water stations on every floor, with still and sparkling water, were a really useful extra. I also appreciated the dedicated ironing room, since the rooms don't have irons. It was a thoughtful, convenient solution. The hotel was spotless throughout, including the shared areas, and the staff were extremely friendly and always willing to help. Breakfast was fresh, varied, and delicious, with high-quality products that made the mornings enjoyable. We had a wonderful stay at Novotel Budapest City, and everything exceeded my expectations. The service deserves all its stars. I highly recommend it and would definitely choose it again on my next visit to Budapest.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The hotel is next to a beautiful park for peaceful walks, in a calm area that suits anyone wanting to get away from the noise and intensity of a busy city. I chose it for the location, and it surpassed my expectations. It also appeals to people who enjoy the charm of the old town. The reception team were friendly, smiling, and consistently ready to help or share useful information about the area. Their English was excellent, so communication was easy. I especially want to mention Mr. T. Bence, who helped me with several things I needed, along with Ms. Petro and Ms. Virang. Their warm manner and professionalism made my evenings genuinely pleasant and comfortable. A beautiful setting, a tranquil feel, and great service make this a lovely choice for enjoying a quieter, more authentic side of the city.
