Getting there was easy on the M3 metro line, and there’s a Lidl around the corner. That was the main bright spot for me. I stayed three nights and didn’t enjoy it much. The rooms looked plain, with furniture that seemed about 40 years old, though the bed was reasonably comfortable. The bathroom was an okay size but constantly smelled musty, which isn’t acceptable in any hotel. The room Wi-Fi barely had a signal and was painfully slow when it did connect. Breakfast was included and tasted fine, but it was the same every day, and we sometimes had to ask for forks, knives, or plates because the used ones hadn’t been replaced. My room faced the main street, so it was loud, though it didn’t bother me; it could keep someone else awake. The staff weren’t friendly, which I said was typical for Hungarian people.

There were trains and ambulances around this part of Budapest, and it was very noisy at night. The rest wasn’t too bad, but that first impression matters. When I first walked into the room, there was old bread on the floor and a dead beetle. The fridge didn’t work, and the next morning I found ants on the food we’d had for breakfast. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

It had a vintage feel while still offering modern amenities. I only stayed one night, but it was comfortable and convenient, with places to eat and public transport within walking distance. I’d definitely return if I’m in the area again.

We booked the family room for four guys. The beds were okay to sleep in, but the rooms looked dated and the bathroom was really small. Staff could have been friendlier, and the Wi-Fi in the rooms was really, really bad. Three Flowers, maybe, but I don’t think it’s a three-star place.

It was 28 degrees in the room, we couldn’t open the window, and there was a strange smell. I gave it two stars because of the price, but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you can’t find anywhere else. 👎
