Right in the heart of town, this is the best holiday home. Highly recommend it.

The location is lovely and convenient, right by the subway station with shops nearby. But the place itself was dirty, unhygienic, and disorganized. It was cheap, and still an unpleasant stay I regret. I'd rather spend a couple of hundred kunas more for decent accommodation. The bathroom was filthy, and the owner didn't seem particularly clean. The bedroom door couldn't be locked from outside, which was a problem since we shared the place with other tenants and the owner, who spent most of the day on his laptop in the kitchen or hallway. There was no paperwork at all. Checkout was awful. While we were eating in the bedroom, the owner opened our door and said, “You have to leave in 10 minutes.” He also told us to leave the bedroom door open while we got ready. We paid for one night and stayed that night, but left the next day for somewhere else because the situation was unbearable. The landlord was the worst part. He'd say it was no problem when we told him when we'd be going out and coming back, and that he'd be there, but it wasn't true. He didn't give us keys, so every time we returned we had to call him at the door. He wouldn't answer until we'd been waiting and calling for 20 minutes. When he finally came back, he was drunk. Anyone can do what they want, but it left a terrible impression. I couldn't trust him to keep his word. I've never stayed in a worse room. The synthetic bedding was dirty, smelled bad, and hadn't been washed for months. The window was blocked, all the light wiring was exposed, and the only air conditioning was a broken fan.
