The staff were polite, friendly, and ready to help with anything. The rooms were clean, though the furniture and bathrooms looked less modern than in some other 3-star places. The restaurant was decent but felt dated. The hotel may seem remote, but it's near Margaret island and there are plenty of tram and bus stops. A nice, quiet place at a reasonable price.

I was charged 8 euros per night for air conditioning at checkout, even though my booking said it was included. That fee wasn't clearly explained in the reservation or policy information. The rest of the stay was disappointing too. The bed was broken and noisy, so I couldn't sleep, the shower enclosure was in poor shape with fungus around it, and the towels were old and discolored. Though Papillon is advertised as a 2-3 star hotel, it felt more like a 1-star guest house. I hope these problems are fixed for future guests.

We slept really well, and the beds were comfortable. I’d read the reviews about bed bugs and was worried, but we didn't find any. The room was small, but everything was fine, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was okay and had what we needed. If you arrive by car, parking in front of the hotel is limited to 3 hours, from 8.30 in the morning until 20.00 in the evening.

The garden and pool area with sunbeds was a lovely part of the hotel, and the staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was a buffet with a decent range of hot and cold food. Our room was simple but practical, very clean, and had air conditioning and a refrigerator. The bathroom was spacious, clean, and in good condition. There are a few restaurants nearby, and the nearest public transport is about a ten-minute walk away, on the Buda side. Don't expect luxury, but the price was good for what we got.
