The apartment had everything I needed, and it’s in a great spot by the Danube, behind the Mariott Hotel. The city itself is great too. Parking may take some effort: the public lot is about 100 m away and often full, while there’s also a private option at a reasonable rate. Don’t park on the street, since it’s forbidden and your car could get blocked.

The apartment was clean and right in the heart of Pest, and the owners could always be reached by phone. Still, two major things bothered us: the room was much smaller than the photos suggested, and we were charged a city tax and final cleaning fee that hadn’t appeared in the reservation bill. We also had the same two large and two small towels for all five days and four nights, which was a tough stretch for me and my girlfriend.

The hosts were good, and the apartment was clean, tidy, and recently decorated. Its location was good too.

A tourist trap. The place was shabby and unclean, with nothing I could recommend.

It wasn’t what we expected. The place wasn’t clean, and the air conditioning didn’t work properly.
