Rose City Hotel

The price felt fair, and the staff were kind, friendly, and helpful. It was handy that they had an iron we could take to our room. Breakfast was a letdown. It ran from 7 to 10, but when I arrived at 9, there was hardly anything I wanted to eat. There wasn’t much variety the next day either, even though I went at 8. The hotel needs a major renovation, especially the towels. I was lucky to have brought one from home to use on my face.

The room was quiet and clean, though small, and the location was great, near the tram station and Starbucks. The woman at reception was very kind and polite. The bathroom should be renovated, it reminded me of one in a hospital.

I spent five nights here and would happily book again when I return to Budapest. The place is quiet but very well connected around the city. Service was top level, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it.

What stood out most was how quiet the place was, even during the day, and how warm it felt after coming in from the cold. The complex was beautiful, well maintained, and peaceful. Shops and Mammut are nearby, though it’s a bit far from the center. My dad and I didn’t mind the distance because we liked walking around and seeing different things. We were there for five days and stayed in room 204. We didn’t spend much time in the room, but it was warm and clean, apart from the somewhat worn carpet, which seems like an easy fix. The side city view looked amazing at night, and having hot water after long walks was a real treat. The room also had a kettle, tea bags, and cups, which some 4-star hotels don’t even provide. The staff were super friendly. The young woman on the morning shift was especially welcoming and kept smiling. I work at reception too, so I know it can be hard to keep smiling, especially with French people. No offense, guys, but you know you can be a pain in the ass. She was accommodating and friendly throughout. The night shift man was also a vibe, and we had some funny conversations since we both work nights. He helped me figure out how to order food by writing down the apps I could download. Before long, food was at the door. Jayal, the delivery driver, was kind as well. My dad and I were both very happy with the stay. You know what you’re paying for, and what you get is more than enough. When we come to budapest again, we know where we’ll stay.
