My suitcases were stolen from inside the room. The hotel staff blamed me for being irresponsible and wouldn’t check the hallway camera. A hotel where theft happens inside the rooms feels unsafe, and the management handled it terribly. I’ll never return or recommend it to anyone who cares about their belongings.

The place was filthy and untidy, and the whole experience was a shock. A cleaner came for about the first two days, then stopped. The apartment is near the station, in a relatively quiet part of Budapest, but that didn’t make up for the condition. I arrived at reception and felt sick as soon as I entered the building. The owner’s online photos didn’t match reality, and they sent me a bad apartment link that I only figured out during my stay. I was given the keys to apartment 306 on the second floor, where there are other apartments too. It cost 14,900 HUF for one night booking directly through the owner, and more through Booking. You can find decent accommodation for that money. If you can stay somewhere else, definitely do.

For a cheap apartment, it was decent and honest value, though there were no frills. The bed felt a bit cheap, and a week was long enough for me.
