The cleaner was sooooo rude.

After we’d paid, another email asked us for about 5,000 forints’ worth of euros for cleaning and business tax. We never got a receipt, of course. The accommodation felt pretty neglected: stains on the chairs and sofa, and someone else’s hair on the bedding. The PVC wall panel in the bathroom and the industrial amount of silicone used there say a lot about the attitude. Breakfast was quite something. We definitely won’t be back.

The cold made the stay very uncomfortable. There was no working heat in the bedroom or living room, and the bathroom radiator was cold too. The bedroom blind also wouldn’t come down. With just a thin blanket, the nights were hard to get through. There was a strong sewer smell from the bathroom, the floor creaked a lot, and traffic noise came through. The package described as “breakfast” was very poor. The accommodation was far below even a basic standard, and we were very disappointed. There’s no staff on site, so we had to call reception. We called three times, but got no useful solution or concrete suggestion about the heating. They said the issue was with the building’s central heating, not the apartment. The woman in the apartment next door, also owned by Villa Oliver, confirmed there was no heat there either. In its current state, this place is cold, uncomfortable, and unkempt, and our problem wasn’t addressed. I wouldn’t recommend it. I hope the owner takes this feedback seriously, because it’s not suitable for a pleasant stay.
