Budapest Center Residence

We especially enjoyed the rooftop bar, with its lively feel, Budapest views, and good cocktails. W Budapest is right in the center, handy for attractions, restaurants, and nightlife. Inside, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, with stylish decor, city views, and great amenities. The staff were friendly and professional, and check-in and checkout went smoothly. The hotel has a fresh, modern look and a vibrant atmosphere that seems suited to both business and leisure stays.

For our honeymoon, the room upgrade was a lovely surprise. As Marriott Bonvoy Platinum members, we were fortunate to receive one, and the hotel had also arranged a few thoughtful extras that we really appreciated. The team responded quickly whenever we asked for something and were consistently friendly and professional. W Budapest is stylish and very well located in the heart of the city.

The spa is gorgeous and was a lovely place to unwind after a full day. I also enjoyed everything I tried in the restaurant, especially the creative cocktails and amazing breakfast. This was my second stay at W Budapest, and the beautiful building and convenient access to the city’s main sights keep bringing me back. My modern room had a stunning view of the Opera. Irina gave me recommendations I loved, and a big thank you as well to Gauthier, Miklos, Paulus, Dalma, Botond and Zoard for being so welcoming and attentive. I’m already looking forward to coming back.

We found the hotel’s design and location appealing, and our Superior Suite was roomy and comfortable, with a nice blend of historic character and modern details. The spa is modest but pleasant, and breakfast and dinner service were generally nice. The guests seemed to be a varied mix of families, couples, and solo travelers across ages and backgrounds. The concierge was quick and helpful with reservations and changes. The service details didn’t always match the luxury image, especially for almost 700€ a night. Our room wasn’t ready until 4pm. Staff apologized, but the follow-up felt improvised and disjointed. Housekeeping was uneven: one day the room wasn’t serviced until 3pm, the bed wasn’t tucked properly, a cleaning cloth was left behind, and the minibar wasn’t replenished at all. The extra bed for the third adult felt cheap and uncomfortable. The entrance could also feel underwhelming, with unattended doors, a cramped and busy reception, and no welcome drinks at check-in. W Budapest is a very attractive hotel in a great spot, but more consistent housekeeping and attention to detail would help it meet its potential.
