The location was perfect, the WiFi worked fine, and the kitchen was usable if you wanted to make dinner. The beds were perfectly okay, and reception was friendly and open around the clock. For the low price, I suppose it's hard to complain too much. But the bathroom setup was awful. One of the two cubicles wasn't working for some reason, and putting the shower, toilet, and sink all in the same cubicle felt like a hygiene hazard and was really uncomfortable. We only stayed one night, so we skipped showering, but even brushing our teeth wasn't pleasant. I'm not usually fussy, but that was enough.

The room was tiny, though fairly clean, and the staff were friendly. The window looked straight onto the stairway, which wasn't great. The toilet door wouldn't shut, and there was no toilet paper or hand soap. It did the job for one night. 👍

The price and location were the only things going for this hostel. It was extremely dirty: the pillows and sheets had disgusting stains, the shower drain was clogged, and the rooms, kitchen, and even reception were untidy. The mattress was a piece of foam rubber, seriously. This was my worst experience ever, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The receptionist was very kind and keen to help, and even walked us over to the apartment on the corner where we'd be sleeping. The reception itself is in a different building. The place is close to the city center, practically in the old town, with roomy clean rooms and comfortable beds. I liked the feel of living in an apartment in an old building.

The service is why I couldn't give this hostel a better rating. A man snored loudly all night, so another girl and I barely slept. We asked to move rooms and were told everywhere else was fully booked, though the next room was almost empty during our stay, according to the only guest in it. The next day we bought wine, hoping it might help us fall asleep faster, and asked to borrow an opener. They said they didn't have one, but a guest moving out of the reception building told me she'd seen two in the kitchen there. They spoke politely, but I was left feeling bad about the service. There were good things about the facilities: spacious rooms, a kitchen and dining area, and a bathroom that felt like showering at home. A washing machine was free to use, though they didn't provide detergent. The hallway had sideboards, lockers, and wardrobes, and each bunk had plenty of sockets and a reading light.
