There's a charming farm on the property with rabbits, horses and other animals, and guests can go horse riding. In summer, dogs can use the swimming pool too. It's a pet-friendly hotel with rooms and apartments that have fully equipped kitchens. The staff are professional and customer-focused, and the restaurant serves high-quality food.

The TEA charging station has affordable prices, and Heviz Spa is only 1 km away. The property feels more like a resort than a hotel, set in a well-maintained park, and it's very dog-friendly.

We hired bikes for a day and cycled around the nearby lake. We also had a hire car, though the entry gate never worked with our door key. Wi-Fi came with our RCI package, but it was underpowered and disconnected often. It worked well in the middle of the night. Our apartment was spacious, with a balcony. The fridge was missing two door shelves, which cut down on storage, but having a freezer compartment was useful. There was no oven, though we could cook on the hob and use the microwave. This feels like the value end of the market: basic, functional and clean. We ate at the restaurant once and were pleased with the food overall. The staff were accommodating and spoke enough English for us. We enjoyed the outdoor pool, though the water was on the cool side. There's an indoor pool as well, and several saunas. The jacuzzis were warm when they worked, but were significantly intermittent.

The apartments are warm and cozy, and pretty clean, with nice food and kind staff. It's about 15 minutes from the Heviz centre. I imagine the place is more interesting in spring or summer, with all the space for walking, running and sports, plus a big outdoor pool. I recommend it and would consider coming back.

I regret picking this rather expensive resort. The units were run down, and the public areas badly maintained. The pools and jacuzzis weren't big enough for the number of guests. In warm weather the units get boiling hot, with no air conditioning. They charged me €2 a day to rent an electric fan that barely worked. I slept badly for a week.
