The location is a plus, since you can easily get to the attractions, and the room was clean. Still, there were burn and glass marks on the bedside table, and the TV had no working channels. The garden’s plastic chairs were so dirty you had to clean them before sitting down. The shared kitchen was well stocked, including Nescafé, sugar, and powdered milk. Booking was a hassle. My first call didn’t work out, and he said he’d call right back. When I rang again an hour later, he admitted he’d forgotten about me. The next attempt also failed because he was driving. He eventually called back and explained that for a one- or two-night stay they usually ask for the full amount in advance, not a deposit. I didn’t get an invoice, and the block was left in a locked room. Later he asked for more information but didn’t follow up. I wrote twice more asking for the invoice and got no reply, even though the confirmation showed he’d received my message. I finally got the invoice on 07/07/2020, after my third request.

The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was great, and you could even make coffee, which was a thoughtful touch. The owner was incredibly hospitable, and the place was spotless. Great value for the money. Their dog is an absolute sweetheart, we couldn’t get enough of him.

The staff are really kind and flexible, and it’s a dog-friendly place, which mattered a lot to me. It’s clean and tidy, with a pleasant, cultured setting at a fair price while you explore Debrecen’s sights. Suitable accommodation for any age. I’ll stay here whenever I’m in Debrecen or the surrounding area.
