We really liked the hotel. It's cozy and clean, everything works as it should, and it's dog-friendly. The staff were very pleasant. There are convenient parking spots right on the hotel grounds, and breakfast is served in a nice hotel restaurant. It's also very close to the city center and a large aqua park with thermal pools.

The noise made us check out early. Our room was 24 degrees Celsius and we couldn't cool it down, because room 14's window opened onto a loud street. The bathroom also stank constantly, so we had to keep the door shut, and the shower leaked. The rooms are tiny, just barely enough for one or two nights. The cleaning lady started slamming the "service room" door at 6:15 while listening to ABBA - Take a chance on me. She sang loudly in the corridors and banged things around like there was no tomorrow. :(

We liked the fair price and the freshly renewed rooms. The place was quiet, which I often find to be the case in Hungary, and quite central. Being able to park both the car and trailer was essential for us. The only thing we missed was a climate system, though at those prices that might be expecting too much. It was a great vacation, and we'll certainly come back!

A very nice place in Eger, close to both the city center and the Turkish spa. They serve breakfast only, with no lunch or dinner, even though those are offered on booking.

We really enjoyed Eger’s food scene, and the city itself is historic and scenic. Aqua Villa made a peaceful base for exploring: it’s spacious, pristine, and just outside the busy historic district. Breakfast is traditional Hungarian, and adding palinka would make it feel even more authentic. There are plenty of places to stay in Eger, but I’d pick this one.
