For a three-star place, it was really comfortable, and I felt as safe there as I do at home. My room was small, but it was clean and warm. The location is great, the Wi-Fi worked well, and breakfast was amazing. Staff were polite, and there's a small car park outside. I didn't try the wellness area. I'd especially recommend it for older guests and families with little kids.

We stayed overnight on 2-3 August 2025. The room was very spacious and clean, though the bathroom needed a few repairs and some lights didn't work. Getting to the restaurant meant a long walk through a maze, but it was well signposted. The stroll made it feel like we were in someone's mansion rather than a hotel, which was a nice touch. The service was mixed. The young waiter who came over later was helpful and asked if we wanted drinks, and we did, three times. But before that, one table was still covered with previous guests' plates and glasses. Three waitresses were chatting and ignored my signals even though they were looking our way. When I finally said “Excuse me” loud enough to get their attention, the oldest one came over quickly. I was speaking English, but she replied in Hungarian, and from her tone it was clearly a curse. Staff also seemed less capable with foreign languages than at other places. The receptionist struggled to explain things. The hotel has potential, but needs to work harder.

We tried to make the most of our weekend, but wouldn't stay here again. The hotel has potential, yet the poor management and lack of attention to guests spoiled the experience. We chose it for a weekend in Hungary, our first trip to the neighboring country, and were disappointed, especially as we've travelled abroad since 1996. The location is quiet and close to the center, about 15 minutes from the castle. The room and bathroom were clean and didn't smell, though the facilities aren't new. The SPA was not very crowded, especially in the evening before closing. Food was good, and breakfast had lots of choices and quality products. There were several problems. On Friday evening, the hotel had a private event, and its guests filled the parking spaces. We arrived later and apparently there was no space left for us. The receptionist suggested parking on the property, but we didn't feel the car was safe there. Our first night was disturbed by a steady noise from air passing through a pipe outside room 212's balcony. We were told no other room was available until the next day. We could also hear people moving in the hallway and neighboring rooms, and in the morning there was no chance of sleeping past 9 am because cleaners talked loudly and clattered around with their utensils. We were misled about the massage, too. Before booking, we asked whether it was relaxing or stronger and were told it was therapeutic and intense. It felt more like a caress than a massage. The SPA staff could at least have known basic English or German. On Saturday evening I couldn't use the Finnish sauna because a “special program” was going on, and it only became available when it was already time for dinner. Dinner was good, but even water or tea wasn't included, and drinks cost extra. I've never encountered that at another accommodation. The hotel advertised the London bar's games throughout the building, but when we tried to book darts, billiards, or bowling, we were told everything was full and being used by people from outside. I think hotel guests should have priority. When we left, the receptionists issued our bill but didn't ask how our stay had been or offer a feedback form, even though only the two of them and us were at reception.

The wellness area was a highlight for us, with saunas, pools, massage, a whirlpool, aromatherapy, and more. My family and I had a wonderful few days here. The rooms were clean and lovely, with a really positive feel. All the staff were friendly and, above all, professional, which isn't something I often find in Hungary. The food was very good, and the waiters were understanding and helpful, especially with my mother's different food intolerances. When I needed help with a severe migraine, reception staff were kind and helpful too. It was our first visit, but we'll definitely come back soon. Thanks to all the staff, and I'd encourage anyone to give this beautiful hotel a try. :) ♥️

We found the rooms a bit cramped, at least our twin room, with hardly any space for luggage. Ours also wasn't cleaned, though I don't know if that's hotel policy or just what happened during our stay. The person at the pool reception didn't speak English. On the plus side, reception staff were friendly and efficient, and parking was easy to access, though paid and not especially secure. The pool is there, but we couldn't use it. Wi-Fi was okay, just slow. The location is good, a couple of minutes from the center. Breakfast was fantastic, and the dinner included in our stay was especially good.
