Öko-Park Panzió-Kemping

The camping area was nicely shaded, with clean facilities and working Wi-Fi. Check-in was easy, and we had no trouble understanding each other. We had a few drinks on their terrasse, where prices were very reasonable. Everyone we met was super nice. Highly recommended.

We spent our days exploring, so the small rooms had everything we needed. The hotel is close to Eger by car, with nice hills to hike and explore right behind it. Reception stayed open late, which made evening outings easy, and the friendly staff were helpful. It's a nice budget hotel if you don't mind somewhere rustic. September was unusually cold outside, and the room was cold too because the heaters didn't work. The shower had lovely hot water after we asked. A hair dryer was available at the front desk. Breakfast was included, with a full selection, and tea and coffee were available all day.

The rooms were awful: extremely tiny, with dirty floors and walls, dents and holes, and a cracked mirror. The photos were very misleading and more than 10 years old. When we asked about that, we were told, 'its under construction'. We were served gone off beer, and we couldn't bring our little dog into the restaurant. We had to sit outside, secluded on the dirty terrace. We're definitely not coming back. I don't recommend this to anyone!

The sanitary block was very outdated and had no privacy. We paid around €30,00 in the afterseason, far too much for what you get. The road right by the campsite was busy and very loud. Better go to the south of France, that's cheaper. This was our second bad experience of that kind in four days. It seems Hungarian campingsites are outpricing themselves.
