We were greeted by the owner’s mother, a very kind and straightforward person. She happily helped me work out where the parking permit that comes with the stay was valid, since I didn’t know Eger. That kind of attitude really helps a family business, and it contributed to my five-star rating. The accommodation is nicely renovated, comfortable, and looks out over the pedestrian street. It’s directly above a McDonald's, which is always open, so you can pop downstairs for coffee or a quick bite. The beds are comfortable, but the street is noisy, and we couldn’t properly rest for a day. Music blares until 6 in the morning, so families with babies shouldn’t come here if they need quiet or good sleep. The place is cheap, probably for that reason..:) It works well for couples, and four people can sleep comfortably. The gallery creaks, which might wake someone downstairs just as they’re falling asleep. The hostel is in a listed building in the heart of the city, so there’s no air conditioning. The owner strongly recommends buying a mobile air conditioner. It gets terribly hot in summer, though there is a fan. You can see all the sights of Eger from here without a car, and the location is very good. I still recommend it, as long as you don’t mind possibly sleeping poorly for 3 days.. ;) Payment methods: credit card, credit card.

It was very warm inside, and the small apartment had everything we needed. Everything was fine, and it’s close to everything.

There’s a shop right below the accommodation, along with Meki, and pubs and party spots nearby. The pedestrian street gets a bit lively at night, but after a day of sightseeing you can still come back and relax. The kitchen is well equipped and the place is clean. I recommend it.
