Bo-Ni Vendégház

We used this as a base for a week of daily trips to Austria for a festival at Vila Vita Pannonia, and it worked out really well. There are lots of cycling routes and lakes nearby, Austria is about a 10-minute drive away, and so are spas and national parks. Budapest is roughly two hours by car. The host family were lovely and did everything they could to help despite the language barrier. Our room was spotless, the beds were very comfortable, and the small double room was laid out cleverly, with shelves and storage. The Wi-Fi worked well, and the large roof windows brought in plenty of light and air. There’s a hot shower, plus a little shared fridge, toaster, and kettle outside the rooms for making tea or a sandwich. Downstairs, there are more tables, two coffee machines guests can use, and a larger fridge. There’s also darts, table tennis, and a mini soccer table. Out front, there’s a garden and plenty of parking. It’s a really lovely, underrated place. Stracci, named for the color of his stracciatella-like fur, is especially sweet and always keen to fetch a ball.
