The lake view is beautiful, and having the hotel’s own private beach was a real plus. I still enjoyed my stay, even though some things felt unfamiliar to me. It was my first visit to Hungary, and I think many foreign visitors might struggle here. The hotel is in a communist-style building with small rooms and no AC. Opening the windows in midsummer would let in swarms of mosquitoes. There wasn’t a shower curtain in my room, or in anyone else’s, so water went all over the floor whenever I showered and made it slippery.

The rooms are on the small side, with a retro feel, but those big windows look straight out at the lake. It’s a peaceful spot by the water, with a large private garden and terrace where you can sit right at the water’s edge. The staff were relaxed and very kind.
