We picked this guesthouse because it's close to both Budapest and the Hungaroring, and were glad we did. During the Formula 1 race Budapest was packed and the traffic was hellish, but parking here was no problem. Each day we drove into town, left the car at a park and ride on the outskirts, then used the metro and public transport. The guesthouse is on a quiet street with little traffic and has what you need for a short stay. Rooms are clean and properly equipped, if a bit small, and there are street parking spaces right in front. Communication with the hosts was excellent, and even though we arrived very late in the evening, check-in went smoothly.

We chose this small-town place for the F1 because it was easier to get back here afterward than to stay in downtown Budapest. There's parking, the rooms are very nice, and the service is friendly.

Be prepared to pay more if you book here. We reserved a three-bed room for 70 euros, then were charged another 20 euros for our 9-year-old, but got no extra sleeping place, sheets or towels. Our neighbour paid 10 euros extra for a dog. We asked for two beds to be put together, but it wasn't done. How are guests meant to understand the room rules when they're in Hungarian? I tried to be flexible, pay extra, sleep with my kids, arrive by 20:00 as requested, and use Google Translate, but there's a limit. Paying 20 euros just to take a shower doesn't feel fair to me. Also, if you're doing renovation work, please use warning tape and signs to prevent accidents. Think about your guests and they'll be grateful.

We felt great here. The rooms were clean and cozy, with quality furniture, and the bathroom was exceptionally clean and well furnished too. The only downside was that in room 4 the small shower didn't work, only the big one. We'll come back! 😁
