Balaton Beach Gyenesdiás

Really top-notch.

The best.

You can wind down on the loungers in the evening and watch the stars. The owner is warm and hospitable, and the rooms are clean. There's access to a kitchen, laundry racks, and a pool, plus delicious drinks at the bar. The cats are lovely, especially White and Balu. I'd recommend staying here.

For our group of seven, the clean rooms and sheets, hard mattresses, and clean Turkish towels worked well. No bedbugs or anything like that. Some bathrooms could use a bit of work, like new paint or hangers, though that would be a serious task for just two people. The owners were constantly on the go, making breakfast, cleaning, and helping guests. The staff is a bit small, so hats off to them. They're hardworking and flexible, and if you mention something missing, like toilet paper, they sort it out right away. The pool is at the back. Breakfast was great too: very good scrambled eggs, chilled 100% orange juice, and delicious cappuccino. I had two. There are a few shortcomings, but thank you for all your effort. Maybe someone else should try keeping it all going before writing bad things... :-)
