The kids had little to enjoy inside: most of the toys were dirty or broken, some had dead batteries, and there was no highchair, despite the apartment being advertised as child-friendly. The outdoor condition was rough too. The armchair was shabby and crumbling, gum was smeared on the wall behind the sofa, the curtain was torn, and there was no mosquito net, with spiders all over the apartment. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned, the towel rail was dusty, and the floor clearly hadn’t been mopped. The microwave was connected with a dangerously placed extension cord instead of a proper socket, a real concern with children around. We expected a clean, child-friendly apartment from the listing and instead arrived to a neglected, dirty place. We had to go to the local Tesco for cleaning supplies and clean before we could unpack or relax. The online photos and description seriously misrepresent the actual condition and abuse guests’ trust. It’s hard to understand how the apartment can be run this way. Changing the cleaning staff or company should be taken seriously. Given these conditions, it’s a wonder no one has reported it to KÖJÁL or another competent authority. This is unacceptable, and a family with a small child shouldn’t have to begin a holiday by cleaning the accommodation.

The few days here were a disappointment. The room’s bed was uncomfortable, the fridge smelled and hadn’t been washed, and it didn’t cool. We could hear the neighbor snoring through the thin wall, and on the shared terrace there was no divider, so we woke up to the neighbor peeking in. The jacuzzi water smelled like something had died in it, with strange stuff floating on top. There was a sauna, but we didn’t dare use it. The pictures on booking don’t show reality, and we hadn’t read the reviews in time. When we came into the room, we walked through cobwebs. We were given an upstairs room with air conditioning, but were told it would cost another 4000 HUF for the two nights. It was 38 degrees outside, so paying extra for AC upstairs felt like a joke. The shower door fell on us when we went to bathe, and I had to put it back. It should have been fixed, especially since we’d come to relax. There was also a spider in the shower corner, dead bugs on the floor, and a hole in the back of the wardrobe, though that was a small thing. My girlfriend and I had booked two nights, half board, at half price.

The room was sized fine for two, and the building looks quite impressive from outside. But inside, it didn’t resemble the pictures used to sell the packages. Every corner had a huge cobweb full of spiders, the walls were dirty, and the shower curtain was disgustingly soiled. We couldn’t open the window because the “mosquito net” was half torn off. We came with a gift voucher, and when arranging the date we were told no room was left under our package, though they could offer a classic room for +16,000,-. It turned out everyone there had done the same, even those without a voucher.

We stayed as a family and could bring our dog along. The area was lovely, quiet, and beautiful, the rooms were good, and the staff were helpful.
