Várkert Apartman

We’ve been coming back for years, mainly because the host is so kind, helpful, and flexible. The apartment is well kept, clean, equipped with what you need, and air-conditioned. Parking is in a covered, enclosed area. Gyula Castle Bath is a five-minute walk away, and the city center takes about fifteen minutes to reach. A great place to stay.

We’ve stayed here for three years, including during the pálinka festival, and plan to come back a fourth time. We were traveling with small children, so it mattered that the festival noise was barely noticeable in the evening even though we were close by. There are children’s channels on the TV, and parking was absolutely fine. The woman who handled our booking was lovely and helpful. She even printed directions to the hospital, medical center, and pharmacy. She was flexible about early or late arrival and didn’t charge extra. The hotel was clean and well looked after. My one regret is that there’s no way to grill or fry bacon in the small garden area. The things that mattered most to us were worth six stars.

It’s near the swimming pool, which is handy. The spiral stairs go straight up to the rooms, though they’re a bit of a drawback.

The apartments are quiet and air-conditioned, and close to everything. All perfectly fine.
