Ferenczi Apartament

I booked through Szallas.hu for the date I specified, subject to availability, and got a confirmation email. The next day, the owner called to say he couldn’t accommodate us because other guests were arriving. NOT CORRECT.

The location is ideal: 500 m from the beach entrance and practically in the center, yet the area is very quiet. The penny is 1km away, and their supermarket chain has a closer branch. Mr. Tibor showed us to the yard parking and then offered a discount with the cancellation of the reservation. The apartments were in very good shape and clean, with what you need in the cupboard to make something simple. The only problem we noticed was that the room’s stove had no socket to plug into, so we managed with the kettle. It turned out to be a very successful vacation.

August 2017: There was air conditioning, a refrigerator, a TV, and a private bathroom in the room. We also had covered parking. The shop was 4 minutes away, and the main entrance to the pools was 5 minutes away. July 2019: The floor was sticky and dirty, and someone had wiped it with a dirty mop. We’d booked more than a month ahead, but didn’t get apartments with air conditioning. All the arrangements were by email. When I showed the owner the email, he said he thought we meant a ground floor apartment and that a child would be uncomfortable in an air-conditioned room. That was our last stay here.

There’s a covered spot in the yard for the car, and everything is nearby. The owner is easy to reach if the internet gives you trouble, and he speaks Polish very well. Inside, the rooms are clean and cared for, with a properly equipped kitchen, a tidy bathroom, and a big, comfortable bed. The air conditioning and working Wi-Fi are welcome too. I’d gladly stay here again. It’s a good place for the price.
