We've been coming back for years, and the Pension keeps getting better. This time we were welcomed by a beautifully renovated bathroom. It's always clean, and the people here are warm, helpful, and friendly, with a family feel. Dinner comes with live music, which adds to the atmosphere. Breakfast at the Csárda was generous and delicious, and the menu dishes are always fresh, tasty, and served in huge portions. I can only recommend it! 😊

The room was clean and nice, but the bed felt hard. There was no mosquito net on the window, which would be useful for anyone who'd rather not use the air conditioning. I don't like having to pay a daily parking fee in front of the accommodation, especially since its own parking lot doesn't have enough spaces. Guests shouldn't have to pay 2000 HUF a day for parking, in my opinion.

The chestnut puree was a great dessert, and we enjoyed the tasty food and generous portions for a good price. We came on a recommendation and found a great atmosphere. It was crowded, but our food arrived without much of a wait. The waiter deserves a special mention: his English was perfect, and he even knew a few Polish phrases that were nice to hear.

Kemencés Csárda és Panzió Hajduszoboszlo The fish bar was a highlight. Everything was fresh and fried right in front of you, and the catfish was fantastic. The room was large, the receptionist was helpful when I needed help with the parking meter, and the guesthouse is five minutes from the famous spa. There's a lot to choose from around there. At the spa, the basic entry fee covers almost all the pools, while the slides and underground spa cost extra, around 60 PLN per person. The underground spa has a separate entrance and fee, with no option to move on to the other pools. If you're after the healing springs, it's the cheapest and best option, though I couldn't find that in any guidebook. My stay was overshadowed by what I saw as a scam on Booking.com. I booked on August 11th for August 18th to 22nd because the offer said a free parking spot could be reserved in advance, and that was the main reason I chose the property. The safe was another reason. I messaged twice on August 11th, in English and Hungarian, asking for free parking. On August 17th, a Saturday, when I was already halfway through the trip, I was told parking couldn't be reserved and the only option was paid parking at €5 a day. It was available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The meter only took payment for the current day, so each morning meant getting up before 7, queuing, and paying again. The receptionist helped with the first day's payment, then told me to check whether a space had opened up in the free lot. I had to keep dealing with the meter, and at €5 per day, paid by card, it came to over 100 PLN after conversion. Doesn't the guesthouse know a free spot won't be available in seven days? Couldn't they have told me right away? If I'd known the offer wasn't true, I wouldn't have booked at all. I felt completely scammed and humiliated, and demand a refund for the costs I incurred. A word of warning: all the parking lots are paid, only for the day, and only from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The first room was on the second floor. When I went in, I found blood on the pillowcase. After the lady intervened, she pulled off the pillowcase and moved us to a lower floor. I also checked the safe listed for the room. Inside the wardrobe was a locked metal box, only partly attached to the shelf. At reception I asked for the key, and the lady said it cost extra and there wasn't even a key for this "safe". The room cleaners only took out the garbage bags, leaving everything else on the floor. The wardrobe walls were stained as if they'd been flooded. There's a restaurant beside the guesthouse. At 4 a.m. the garbage truck arrives, followed by deliveries and all the other logistics, so sleep was difficult. Then the parking meter was waiting at 7 a.m. The prices are like those of a... Vodka costs three times what it does for us, though the rest is fine. Service at the spa counter in Polish was nonexistent, and they treated us like a necessary evil. We were there for a vacation, but the parking meter took over. I wouldn't have come if I'd known the offer was untrue. One final practical note: I bought an Auto Mapa for Europe. May the hand of providence protect you. With road repairs, I drove around four times and couldn't get to Poland from Miskolc. It was a horror. I opened Google Map and drove home like a white man.
