From the accommodation, a walk up the street to the hill gives you a wonderful view of the night sky, thanks to the relatively low light pollution. The place itself is pleasant, clean, and well furnished, just a few minutes on foot from the spa in a quiet location. We visited on New Year’s Eve, with great weather, and our host was attentive and polite. There’s a discount for spending at Marica restaurant, but I can’t recommend the restaurant itself. I hate feeling like they’re trying to rip you off. One thing I didn’t like was how low the bed was. People often visit the spa with musculoskeletal or other problems, and they’re not always young; if you’re in pain, getting up from this bed can be very difficult. There’s practically nothing to do in Igal besides the spa, so anyone looking for things to do has to head back to the Balaton coast or go to Kaposvár. Both are fairly close.
