We spent two weeks here with my two boys and absolutely loved it. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, and the hotel is right in the heart of Kecskemét, with restaurants, ice cream shops, the "malom" mall, and the central bus and taxi hub all within walking distance. Our room had air conditioning and a nice bathroom and shower, and they refreshed it when we asked. Kecskemét feels like a home away from home for us, and staying here makes it even better. This is our hotel whenever we visit. We couldn't recommend it more, it's a must!

The room was spacious, with a large bathroom, and the hotel felt modern and cosy. It’s right in the centre of Kecskemét, which is a great location. There’s underground parking if you need it. Breakfast was nothing special, but decent and dependable.

I’d give this place zero stars if that were an option. I stayed twice at the beginning of the year, first for 28 nights and then for 20. The first visit went well. I needed a table to work on my laptop, which the regular rooms don’t have, and the minibar fridge wasn’t working, so they gave me a fully equipped apartment with a washing machine for the price of a regular or deluxe room. That stay cost me about €2400 for 28 nights. The second time, I expected to stay 28 nights and booked a deluxe room. The regular rooms are tiny, with hardly any room to move in the shower, and I’m not a big person. The apartment costs a lot at its normal rate. The deluxe room I got faced the main street, and the old wooden windows had a single, very thin pane of glass with no sound insulation. Because of the room layout, the windows were practically at floor level. There was no other room available to switch to. A business beside or below the room had a very loud squeaky door that seemed to open and close every five minutes. Since I was working night shifts, that made sleeping during the day difficult, especially in Room 4. The Wi-Fi was also painfully slow, like being back in 2001. The worst part happened a week before I was due to leave. I’d worked until 7 a.m. that Saturday and had a do not disturb sign on the door. At 11 a.m., the young receptionist emailed me rudely, telling me to come to reception and pay for the stay. Then at 1 p.m. he knocked on my door with the bill. I asked why I was being asked to pay for the whole stay a week early, but he had no answer. He called his manager, and I still didn’t get a proper explanation. I left that day and moved to a different hotel for the rest of my time in Hungary. I can’t recommend this place. It’s very expensive for what you get, and management was rude. They don’t speak to you directly, they send employees, and nobody explained why I had to pay for the full stay early. I spent about €4500 over two months, and brought several colleagues to stay there too. I’d never had this happen at any of the many hotels I’ve stayed in around Europe for work. This was my second visit, so they already knew my colleagues and I had spent a lot there. What a disappointment.

Breakfast had lots of choices and was very good. The hotel is well located, with free parking in the underground garage. My room was on the second floor under a sloping ceiling, which made getting into bed quite awkward. The cleaning could have been better.

We expected a double bed based on the listing and photos, but got two single beds in a cramped attic room instead. The room didn’t live up to what was advertised, and the unfriendly, unhelpful receptionist made an already uncomfortable stay worse. If they’d shown some understanding or tried to help, things might have felt different. This was the worst hotel stay we’ve had so far, and we can’t recommend it.
