We booked a room for four, but only two beds were proper beds. The other two were really uncomfortable sofas. The wall was peeling, and when I lifted the covers to get into bed, I found a huge period stain and a sweat stain on the other side. Reception was closed. We called to explain, but they spoke no English, so we couldn’t communicate, and they wouldn’t change the sheets.

This was my second stay, and probably my last. The shower has no glass, so water ends up all over the bathroom floor. I’m on vacation, and I don’t want to mop it up every day. It’s awful. Breakfast was poor too: cold, dry scrambled eggs and cold sausages. Monday through Friday there were yellow pepper, cucumber, tomato, two kinds of cheese and three kinds of cold cuts. They also served leftovers from the day before, like poppy seed pudding and a bun, and it wasn’t fresh. I asked for my room to be cleaned, but they only changed the towels. The floor wasn’t cleaned once during the week. Nothing changes except the prices.

Admiral is a good spot very close to Lake Balaton. It’s family friendly, with a pool and playground. Breakfast was okay, though the staff could speak English more fluently.

There are two houses, and one is new with nice rooms. Seems like a nice place to stay on vacation.
