Parish Bull Hotel

It's a budget hotel with a restaurant, and the prices are good. The rooms are clean, and you get what you pay for. Wi-Fi is available, though it can be pretty unreliable depending on where your room is. Breakfast starts at 6.30am, which is handy for an early start. You can pay by cash or credit card. The restaurant menu is in Hungarian, English, German, and Russian.

Breakfast for all guests is included in the room price, making this a good place to stop for a night and recover before or after a long trip. The hotel impressed me with its solar panels, which help it operate in an eco-friendly way. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and have no smell, but the old furniture needs replacing. It's quiet and warm inside. Staff speak little English, but they're kind and welcoming and try to understand. Google Translate made communication easy. For a hotel by the border, it's not bad, and I'd recommend it.

The staff are friendly, and the food is acceptable, but whatever shine the place may once have had has definitely faded. I'm also not keen on the style. Still, it's a decent spot to rest and get a meal while traveling for work in the area.

I've stayed at The Parish Bull twice, a little over a week each time, and found it very comfortable. The staff were willing to help however they could. It also had air conditioning, which most places around town didn't. To me, it's a cut above many of the other options here.
