Várda Sport Hotel

The building has a good, modern design, and breakfast was okay, with a continental European selection. But I won't be staying here again. On this second visit, my husband and I were given a small room with two beds pushed together instead of a double room. My first visit was better, though I only had a decent room and left early without using any services. The wellness facilities looked nice, but were barely usable. There's no pool, just one Jacuzzi for four people. Other guests were drinking heavily, spilling alcohol into the water, and jumping around as if they were at home. I told reception, but they did nothing. There are three saunas, but they're on timers, so if you arrive while they're off, you could wait for hours. The wellness area supposedly opens at 5 if you contact reception, but reception only works from 7 and nobody answers. There were no towels either. Edit: It seems they read my review, and I was told the wellness area is open only from 5pm to 8pm. That doesn't change much. The chances of being able to use the facilities are still very slim. This was our last time at this hotel.

We were part of a larger group and had a great stay. The rooms were clean, and we felt very comfortable. The staff were accommodating and helped with our group's unusual requirements. Thanks so much for all your help. Hope to see you again very soon.

The breakfast is simple but fresh, with three kinds of cheese, two salamis, two hams, vegetables, omelette or fried egg, fruit, cornflakes, yoghurt, and a selection of breads. The staff are extremely kind and attentive. It's a nice, stylish new hotel next to the Kisvárda spa facility. Highly recommended.

We came for business and were nearly alone at the hotel since it was outside tourist season and there were no sports events. They still served a very nice breakfast in the morning. It's close to the nearby sports park, with modern, spacious rooms that are very quiet. It was my first stay here, and I have no complaints about the hotel.
