The wellness area was quiet and clean, and we ate really well, with more than enough food. We had a great stay at this pet-friendly hotel on the town's main square.

The huge interior has a distinctive feel, and there’s a restaurant and cafe right there, plus a few souvenirs for sale. Staff were friendly, and our room, though ready for an update, was perfectly fine and looked out over the square. Breakfast was all right, but could use more choices. It’s an older hotel that still feels contemporary, right on the main square. Dogs are welcome, and on-site private parking is available for an extra fee.

We’re in room 205 now, my daughter and I, and have been very happy here. It’s an older hotel, but that age is part of its charm. Our room is clean and quite spacious, with bright white towels and sheets, and the woman at reception is very kind. The reception hall is also really large. We’re pleased with the hotel and where it is. Thank you for a lovely rest.

Free Wi-Fi in the room was a nice surprise. The hotel is right in the city centre, which is convenient, though the walls are a bit thin and you may hear people next door. My carpet had a few spots, but the room still felt clean.

On Boxing Day, we went on a two-hour tour of the historic old town and were given mulled wine to warm us up in the cold. Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day breakfast at Hotel Irottkő were wonderful, and they’d also arranged a little entertainment with a singer and pianist.
