10/10
The room was a little dated, but clean and comfortable, with a charm of its own. It didn’t bother me at all, and I’d happily come back. After my delayed flight, the receptionist was exactly what I needed: she let me check in early and even offered me coffee while I waited. Breakfast felt comfortingly Hungarian, with fresh bread, delicious salami and cheese, and the good old TV paprika, a pointy sweet pepper. It’s a less usual spread than the international breakfasts at other hotels, but it has its own appeal, especially after being away from Miskolc and Hungary for 22 years. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

That loose or broken metal strip on the stairs, the one holding the carpet down, was the only problem. I nearly fell. I told reception, and they acknowledged it, but nothing was done. Maybe glue it down if there’s no replacement strip. Otherwise, I’d definitely stay again. Until next time!

Great price and location, and an amazing hotel. The front desk ladies could smile a bit more.

The location is very central, with shops, restaurants, and tram stops nearby. I stayed in a separate hotel building rather than the main one. The room was clean and surprisingly spacious for one person, with everything I needed. It’s an older hotel, and breakfast was basic, nothing special, but I thought the stay was quite good overall.

It was sparkling clean, but the room was tiny and very old-fashioned. I arrived at night and left in the morning, and I wouldn’t want to stay longer. You can hear a train from the room, and the old toilet is really loud.
