The location was handy for the Bath Caves, public pool, park and lake, with the things we needed within about a 30-minute walk. If you like exploring, there's also a bus station 15-20 minutes away. We had a great time, and the price was decent, though nothing special. A free brochure about nearby attractions and some coupons were available too. There were a few snags. We had one key for the apartment, which matters when you're travelling with friends. The booking details were misleading, and we found out there were fewer beds than we expected, so we had to buy two more. I'm unsure whether Szallas.hu or the hosts were responsible at first, but after checking the email, I found the booking style on Szallas.hu was at fault. The hosts kindly gave us one bed free after we'd bought the two, which improved my rating. We also weren't provided with body towels. The owner doesn't live at the property, which was a big plus for a trip with friends. The downsides were the lack of a second language, though that's manageable if someone in your group speaks it, and heating that was missing or not used properly. At night it was 9-11°C, a real problem for a September visit or a colder month. Check-out was quite early. Ten in the morning is usually fine, but we left on a Sunday, when most places don't open until noon.

You pay per bed rather than for the whole apartment, so you could end up sharing the kitchen and bathroom with a stranger. The sheets smelled and had stains, though I couldn't tell what they were from.

We were only given one hand towel. The sheets weren't clean, and each bed in the room costs extra. Check-out is at 10:00 am. A big disappointment.

A lovely, peaceful place, and close to the SPA.
