Set near the M1 highway, with the Mosoni Dabube behind it, this is a real traditional fish soup restaurant. The menu is extensive and mostly Hungarian. It’s an old-style, friendly place with professional staff, good food and big portions. Better book for weekends.

The carp with potatoes I had was delicious, but we waited a really long time for our food. It was so hot and stuffy inside that we had to go outside. The toilets were really dirty.

The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Service could have been kinder, but it was acceptable. There’s lots of parking, plus high chairs and a kids’ menu, though no playground. The food was five stars.

The restaurant is worth recommending, and everyone we met was very friendly. The motel staff spoke some German but no English; the waitresses only spoke Hungarian, even though the menu had a German translation. There’s Wi-Fi at the restaurant, but none in the camper parking area. The pebbled parking lot is right by the river, with electricity, toilets, showers and water provided. It’s close to the highway, but the campsite is also close to the road, so the traffic noise is rather loud.
