My family and I used to stop here for food on the way to Vienna 🤓. We never stayed overnight, but the food was amazing, with huge portions. It used to be five stars out of five, at least back then.

I was unsure at first since the outside didn’t look like anything special. Walking in, it seemed like a bar, but further inside there’s a cozy, homey dining room. The server was especially kind and helpful. There’s a fairly wide menu, though it’s traditional Hungarian csárda food, not fast food. The bean soup was delicious and generous, nearly enough for both of us to feel full. I’m usually wary of ordering steak because it’s often not fresh or cooked right, but this one was thick as it should be and grilled just how I asked. We had a great meal and will be back often.

We booked through Booking a few days before our year-end trip to Germany, and it was the last available unit. The motel is in a peaceful area, but there was confusion at check-in because the receptionist couldn’t find our Booking reservation. We’d booked four beds and got a room with one double bed. Guests across the hall then partied until 4 am, and we had to get up early to continue the drive. The only good thing I remember was the food, which was ordinary but tasty. Nothing I’d recommend.

We chose this place because it was handy on our road trip. The bathroom facilities and linen were clean, but there was a strange smell in the room. It wasn’t worth the price.
