We came with our 14-month-old, and I had told them beforehand that we needed the heating on. The owner's husband handed over the house, smelling slightly of alcohol, and said he hoped it would warm up because he’d switched on the heating two minutes earlier. The house wasn’t properly clean, especially the bathroom. The shower sprayed everywhere except where it should, and was only slightly affected by limescale. After our first night, I explained the problems over the phone. He said it was impossible that the place hadn’t been warm, since they’d had the heating on for two days, and that they’d discuss it next time. So what he’d told us earlier wasn’t true, and he didn’t address the other issues at all. We were still packing after the call when her husband arrived and raised his voice, asking how warm we expected it to be. We only felt good once we’d left the accommodation.

A pleasant place with an enclosed grassy garden, and even the dogs seemed happy there. There’s a kettle, and the area is great for hiking. The house stays cool, though, so if you’re sensitive to the cold, bring an extra blanket for the ground floor.

We had a great time in this clean, quiet, peaceful setting. Thank you! We’d be glad to spend another vacation here.
