The grounds are immaculate, parking is plentiful, and the location is quiet and peaceful. Breakfasts are great, with plenty of choice. The hotel does need some renovation, especially the dated carpets. Still, the staff are its best feature. Many have worked there for years, and we felt welcome every time. Adam at reception, Csaba and Renata in the restaurant, and Evelin, head of housekeeping, all gave excellent service. We'll definitely stay again.

It's a quiet hotel on the edge of town, and you can drive to the city center in five minutes. The rooms are small but comfortable. Our patio had no lights and was covered with tree debris and dead bugs, and there were no screens on the windows or patio door. The hotel could be cleaner overall.

There are plenty of things to do indoors, including a clean pool that was great even in winter, billiards, darts, and a fitness room. The staff were very attentive, and the service was impeccable. Our room was cleaned daily and the towels changed each day. We ate at the restaurant several times and everything there was perfect, though breakfast was very poor. The room was generally clean, but one towel was stained or dirty and there was a large stain on the carpet, so I gave four stars despite it being a four-star hotel. It's a very good choice for a quiet holiday, and I'd definitely recommend it.

Construction was going on during our stay and started around 7am, which was very annoying. The breakfast selection is minimal, and if you don't get there early, much of it is gone. The bar closes the pool area at 10pm, which seems odd. We ordered steaks and had to send them back three times before they were cooked properly, so I'd avoid those. The restaurant otherwise seemed fine. I was there for three nights and got no shower gel or shampoo, even though the bottles are only 25ml. The bathroom needed a lot of work and was poorly equipped and not clean enough. I've stayed in plenty of hotels, and this felt like a two-star place dressed up as a five-star one. Who's giving it five stars?
