We stayed in Swallow nest, the house that gives the place its name, and there was an actual swallow's nest up on the ceiling. We also saw newborn piglets, incredibly cute. The owners were kind and helpful, and early autumn seems like a lovely time to visit. It’s a traditional home with authentic design details, surrounded by beautiful nature. The price felt fair for the experience and the place to stay. Local sights are easy to reach, and the farther-away specialties are no more than a 30-minute drive.

We spent a week here and really enjoyed being able to switch off in such a lovely setting. The decor is very tasteful, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. We explored Orseg by bike. It’s a little hilly, but very nice.

The setting is the main draw here. A good fit if you enjoy rural surroundings, hiking, and getting away from crowded places.
