The host was very nice, the location is great, the wifi worked well, and the rooms have been nicely redone. It was cheap, but the setup left me feeling like I’d booked a room with shared facilities: this is an upstairs apartment with several rooms, one bathroom, and a tiny kitchen. My booking said two bedrooms, but only one was prepared and the others were locked away. I didn’t need the extra room, though it was odd. Parking means either using the steep driveway, which fits one car, or parking on a very narrow street. Sheets were supplied, but we had to put them on ourselves. The bathroom and kitchen are very dated and poorly maintained, with a broken toilet seat and poor hygiene. The building smells, though luckily the rooms don’t. The rooms are cheap, but…

The room was nice and had been renovated a few years ago, but the mattress was quite uncomfortable. On the double bed we found two single, mattress-protector-like sheets instead of one double sheet, and had to arrange them ourselves. It could use a cleaning too. The bathroom and toilet were disastrous: wasps had moved into the bathroom and the ceiling was wet. The old-fashioned kitchen needs a clean, though the dining room was okay. The gate can’t be shut because then you can’t get in or out. Parking is in front of the house. There’s a smell of cigarette smoke mixed with cat odor in the entry hall. The old lady is nice.

The gate is left wide open because its lock needs replacing. The room is just... The kitchen only got a superficial clean, though I suppose that suits the old lady. The bathroom and toilet are terrible!

It was filthy, and I don’t think it had been cleaned for months. After guests leave, they seem to do no more than change the bedding. The house smelled horribly of cat pee as soon as we walked in. All the kitchen equipment was sticky with grease, and the bed mattress was a disaster too. 👎
